My sister, Stephenie, came to San Antonio for a work conference. She had a little bit of time off one of the mornings, So I dropped the kids at school and drove downtown to meet up with her. We went to see the Alamo and walked on the River Walk. I really enjoyed visiting with her.
One of Steph's sister-in-law's did not know about the Alamo. That made us questions if the Alamo was just a Texas pride thing or if it really mattered to the rest of the US the way we were taught in Texas History class. We found this sign. It is the answer to our question. The Alamo really was important and not just to Texans.
