I found a cool blog that has fun recipes. We decided to try this one for our 4th of July desert this year. Next time, we will leave the orange extract out of the cream cheese icing.
Fire works were banned in our area. We are in a stage 5 drought. The firework stands were not even allowed to open this year. The city did not do it's firework show either. Sea World and Fiesta Texas were not able to do their 4th of July show. It seemed strange not to do fireworks but we had fun. We invited a family from church over to swim and grill. It was nice to get to know them a little better.
