Halloween Kids

We had 3 days of Halloween this year. Thursday morning it started with the twins and their Fall Festival at their preschool. They came home with so much candy. They also got to go to a pumpkin patch and pick out a small pumpkin. Richard carried that pumpkin around with him until it started to spoil.

Then Thursday night we had the Choir Halloween Party here at our house. We had 20 kids desend upon us. We played skeleton scavenger hunt, musical pumpkins, doughnuts on a string, and had a cookie walk. The kids all had fun. We had everyone bring a treat. One young lady brought homemade tomales. They were so yummy. We had a costume contest. One of Rebecca's best friends won. She was the Wild Thing from the book Where the Wild Things Are. Her mother did a great job making the costumes. One problem was that her mom sewed a row of pins into the costume. I had to take the seam apart, take out the pins, and then resew the leg.

Friday night we had our church Fall Festival. We had a dinner, then games, the a costume contest, then trunk of treat. We also had a Halloween Cake Decorating Contest. Rebecca came in second place.

Then Saturday night, we had a neigborhood party and the Teen Fall Festival at church. The neighborhood party started at 6pm. We had a potluck dinner. Then the big kids and Mark left for the Teen party. The little boys and I stayed for a hayride and Trick or Treating. We then went to a neighbor's house for a bonfire. We had a very nice time.

The big kids had a dance, games, food, and a costume contest. Matthew won one of the prizes for best costume. Everyone knew who he was except the Bishop. I guess the Bishop has never seen the show.
