Breakfast with Santa

Rebecca's High School choir does a fundraiser every year. They have breakfast with Santa. The choir sings carols, serves breakfast (and cleans it up), and they have crafts for the kids to do. Just to make this year a little more exciting. The fire alarms went off during the breakfast. The kitchen was filled with smoke. We had to evacuate the building. We stood outside for about 10 minutes and still no fire department. I asked one of the mom's if anyone had called it in. She called. The fire department didn't know about it. We all thought the building was monitored and were wondering why it was taking so long for the fire department to show up. I thought all commercial buildings (churches included) had to be monitored.

We sang Christmas carols outside while the fire department reset the alarms and made sure everything was ok.

Robert told Santa that he wants a real light saber. I thought Santa handled this really well. He told Robert that those were dangerous and he didn't think that his elves could make something like that.

Richard told Santa that he wants a handheld game device. Not happening either.

Matthew was at a UIL competition in New Braunsfel and was not able to go with us. He did make 4th place in calculators but did not place in computer programing in Java. Go! Matthew!
