Spring Break- Part 1

Mark was home over Spring Break.  We decided to try to do a few things as a family.  On Saturday, we decided to go bowling.  Rebecca had planned on going out with her friends but decided that she could always do that another time and she might not get to bowling like this at a later time.  She canceled her friends and we headed to San Antonio.  We got to the bowling ally and there was an event going on and it would be at least 3 hours before we could get a lane.  So we decided to go to the movies while we were waiting.  We got to the theater (it was pouring down rain) and I ran and stood in line while Mark parked the car.  The theater was sold out of tickets to the 2 movies that we could possible see with the kids.  So we decided we would try again on Monday.  The kids were disappointed.

Monday morning we did not get up early.  Daylight Savings had us go to bed later than normal so we slept in later than normal.  When we finally got up, I got on the treadmill, got in a quick workout, and then we headed to San Antonio for round 2.

Success!

We had the boys use the ramp since they couldn't seem to bowl with just the bumpers in the gutters.  The "light" ball was still to heavy and it was just getting frustrating.  The ramp made the game fun.

After we got done bowling, Rebecca wanted to go to Hu Hot for lunch.  The twins had never been there (I don't think it is a very good kid restaurant).  It is one of my favorite places to eat.  The boys were fascinated by how the food is prepared.  They like that they got too pick which vegetables got to go in their food.

We had a nice time spending the day together.  I love that the boys are getting old enough to be able to do activities that I can actually enjoy too.
It was time to have to boys try again at learning to ride their bikes.  We have tried several time and they just haven't seemed to be able to get the balance thing down.  They got it this time.

Mark decided to take the boys fishing and to float the Guadalupe River.  He loaded up the raft in the back of the pickup.  Then he took the boys to get worms.  I took them to the drop off point and then went back to Boerne for a Relief Society meeting.  3 hours later, Mark texted me to come get them at the pick up point.

Richard and his fish.   The fish had to go back to his home in the  river

Robert and his fish.  It also had to go back in the river.

I took Lucky with me to pick up the boys.  She loved swimming in the river.
